The Plaza de la Florida is the most emblematic spot in Casalarreina. Right in the heart of the municipality, it is the place where people meet, the nerve centre of Casalarreina’s social life. It is one of the biggest squares in La Rioja.

It is a unique integrated space in which two distinct parts can be differentiated. Located in the upper part are the characteristic arcades, numerous bars giving it a unique atmosphere and a stone drinking fountain with four spouts. The lower part is home to an ample green promenade of acacia trees and the characteristic central bandstand, which normally plays host to concerts by the municipal music band.
In the Plaza, one can see some of the most unique heritage resources of the municipality, such as the Monastery of Santa María de la Piedad and the Palace of the Marqués de Pobes-Vargas.
Casalarreina Town Hall is also right in the middle of Plaza de la Florida.
