Emblematic route through unique natural landscapes of La Rioja Alta.

Its route follows the trail of the old Bobadilla train. The low number of travellers on the train led to its closure and that of the route in 1964. Taking advantage of this, the Green Way from Ezcaray to Casalarreina was built in 1992, and later, in 2016, linked to Haro by means of the Oja-Tirón Green Way. These itineraries can be followed to travel through the characteristic riverside woodlands that cover the banks of the Oja and Tirón rivers, as well as wide agricultural landscapes of crops and vineyards. Casalarreina links both routes..

The Green Way of the Oja can be covered on foot, by bicycle, on horseback and also by people with reduced mobility.

Throughout the route, you have the opportunity to discover diverse landscapes representative of the values of La Rioja: natural spaces belonging to the Natura 2000 network and a varied cultural heritage such as the town centre of Ezcaray and the monumental sites of Casalarreina and Santo Domingo de la Calzada. It also covers an old Roman road, part of the Camino de Santiago, in Santo Domingo de la Calzada. At its end in Casalarreina, it is possible to continue the route by following the Oja-Tirón Green Way, which connects with Haro.
