Our fiestas

The most famous patron saint’s fiestas and those most widely enjoyed by the people of Casalarreina, which will allow you delve deeper into our culture, traditions and gastronomy are:

• Fiestas de Gracias (Thanksgiving): They are held at the end of September in honour of Our Lady of the Fields, the patron saint of Casalarreina. They maintain the old agricultural tradition of Casalarreina of giving thanks for the crops harvested from the fields. They are the municipality’s biggest fiestas, and an ideal way to discover Casalarreina.

• Fiesta de San Juan: Held on 24 June, this is one of the most characteristic fiestas with the deepest roots among the population. It is customary to hold a mass in honour of Saint John and then continue with a pilgrimage, the wine battle and a meal in the countryside at the space around Pobes Spring.

• Fiesta de San Vítores: The fiestas in honour of the patron saint of the municipality are held on 26 August. Over these few days, different gastronomic tastings of characteristic local produce such as chorizo, sardines or veal are held, alongside a Craft Market.
